Local "Coffee Meetings"
in North West Tasmania

Burnie Group

The ABA Burnie Group holds regular meetings. We share experiences, learn from each other, have fun and a breastfeeding counsellor is always present to answer any queries. We have social meetings where we can chat together as well as some set topics and guest speakers. You are welcome in our group no matter how you feed your baby. Don't worry if you are late to a meeting or a coffee morning. Just be proud that you made it. Mothering is a job worth doing and like all jobs; there can be some challenging moments! If you are having a good day, please bring a plate of morning tea/supper to share. If it has not been a good week, day, hour!, then bring along yourself and your child(ren) and come and receive some support.

You are welcome at our meetings, whether you bottle or breastfeed. We offer mother-to-mother support to all mothers. Don’t worry if you are late - we understand the difficulties mothers face and are pleased you have made the effort to get out. Babies and other members of your family are most welcome. There will always be helping hands to assist you with your children. Toys and play equipment are available at the venue. Any topic a mother wishes to discuss can also be covered, and counsellors will be present for individual support.
